The Stripper*
THE STRIPPER
Card is 5-1/2" x 4-1/4"
Stamp Whimsical Words
Paper Rockabilly, White, Black
Ink black with clear embossing
Et Cetera scallop circle punch, 1-1/2" circle punch, 1-1/4" circle punch, ribbon
Sprinkles and tWiNkLes* to Andrea for the coaching and Page for the hosting!
Fold an 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" sheet of [white] paper in half to form your card base. Adhere a 5-1/4" x 4" [black] panel. Adhere a 5" x 3-3/4" [white] panel. Now....the strippers!
For this step you will need 4 coordinating paper designs. For this card, I used 3 designs and 1 solid textured paper. The measurements are:
[black] 4-3/4" x 1-1/4"
[red] 4-3/4" x 1"
[green] 4-3/4" x 3/4"
[white] 4-3/4" x 1/2"
Tape your strippers together. I ordered them widest to thinnest, but use any combination that makes you happy. Trim the side edges as needed.
Add ribbon or other embellishments as desired. I always forget the ribbon.
Adhere the strippers to the [white] card panel. Make sure your card opens on the right side.
Add the final elements. Sentiments, monograms, flowers....what's in that sTaSh?!? I used a circle scallop punch with the [black] cardstock, a 1-1/2" circle punch with the [red patterns] and a 1-1/4" circle punch with the [white] cardstock. The sentiment is stamped in black and clear embossed for a finished look. A monogram would be nice, too. Finally, I lightly sanded the edges of the paper.
they are beautiful =)
ReplyDeleteGreat card! I love the layout. Nice coordination of colors/papers. Very cute. I hardly ever make more than one of a card, but I should do assembly line!
