The Swirl*
This practical layout is inspired, once again, by fellow-stamper Andrea. She is a creative soul!
*5-1/2" x 8-1/2" sheet of [white]
*5-1/4" x 4" [black]
*5" x 3-3/4" [white]
Start with the same card base as The Stripper. Fold a 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" sheet of [white] paper in half to form the base. Cut a 5-1/4" x 4" [black] panel. Cut a 5" x 3-3/4" [white] panel. Do not adhere them together just yet.
You will begin stamping on the 5" x 3-3/4" [white] panel. I used the Elements of Style swirly. To keep placement consistent, I used the thing-a-ma-jig.
Next, I used a sentiment from Thank You Kindly and the thing-a-ma-jig.
The [white] panel is looking good....
Now it's time to think outside the box. I don't have a fabbie flower punch. What to do, what to do. After a bit of experimenting, this is what I came up with. You will need...
*3/4" circle punch
*1/2" circle punch
*a black brad
Simply punch out a couple of Riding Hood Red circles and insert the brad through the middle. Pull the paper forward and 'shape' until a sort of abstract flower emerges. Use a glue dot to adhere the flower to the card panel.
Next, adhere the [black] and [white] panels together. Get the assembly line rolling!
Adhere the card fronts to the [white] card bases.
