No. 1 A Fancy Swinger

Shonda introduced us to this card, we love it!

Stamp: Your choice. Here I used a sentiment from Wild Ferns 162648

Paper: Wildly Flowering 163323, Window Sheets 142314, card stock for the card base

Ink: Early Espresso

Et cetera: Wild Wheat Rustic Ribbon 164061, Heartfelt Hexagon 162888

Surplus: Sticky note to keep from playing hide and seek with your window sheet

Card blank: card stock, 4-1/4 x 6-1/4, score across at 3/4 from the top

Design paper, 4-1/4 x 5-1/2

Window sheet or acetate, 3/4 x 5-1/2

Design paper frame, 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 with rectangle die cut from the middle. Discard center piece.

Accordion, design paper, 4-1/4 x 3-1/2, Keep 4-1/4 lengthwise. Fold down in half and then fold each half in half creating four lengthwise rows.

(2) Hexagon shape punch outs, stamp one with sentiment

Card blank- Cut cardstock 4-1/4 x 11. Keep 11 across the top, cut at 6-1/4. Keep 6-1/4 across the top, score at 3/4. The card will be a tall tent fold: the 3/4 flap, the front of the card, is at the top.

Inside back panel- Cut design paper to 4-1/4 x 5-1/2. Glue inside card blank.

Cut a window sheet 3/4 x 5-1/2. Tape to 3/4 flap front. Centered.

Cut additional design paper 4-1/4 x 5-1/2. Create a frame by die cutting a rectangle from the middle. Discard center cut out. Adhere frame to 3/4 flap, over the window sheet.

To make the accordion, cut design paper to 4-1/4 x 3-1/2. Keep 4-1/4 lengthwise. Fold down in half and then fold each half in half creating four lengthwise rows. Fold as shown in the photo, mountain-valley-mountain.

First, attach the accordion to the inside-back bottom edge. Match corners.

Next, flip the card over and attach the accordion to the inside front. Match corners.

The acetate should lay freely between the front and back and inside the valley of the accordion. If it does not, trim carefully.

Using design papers for most of the construction keeps a slimmer profile, allowing card to fit more easily into an envelope.

For the sentiment, punch two hexagon shapes. Stamp one with your sentiment. Attach foam tape or dimensionals to the back of each shape. The sentiment attaches to the front of the window sheet. The second shape attaches to the back of the window sheet. There should be no overlapping edges.

Attach a bow and your fancy swinger card is ready to brighten someone’s day
