Tutorial Note pad and pen holder*


NOTE PAD AND PEN HOLDER

Finished size is 3 x 6-1/2 x 3/8

• Note pad is 2-1/2 x 6-1/2; For the folder, thick card stock is best 
For this size note pad, trim card stock to 6-3/8 x 6-1/2; 
make sure 6-1/2 edge matches the note pad 
Score at:      3      3-3/8      3-3/4 
Burnish score lines; widest column is the back of the folder 

For the pen holder, fold closed on the center score line, find the center third of the small column, loosely 
Make two snips from the folded edge to the score line; the length between snips is the pen holder 
Open 
Pop pen holder out, “mountain” 
Above and below pen holder, push inward to make “valleys” ---
From the inside, add adhesive to these two portions, right of center score line only, and press firmly to attach to the back of the folder 
Add your pen to the pen holder 
Use strong double-sided tape or other adhesive to add note pad to the inside back cover of the folder. Make sure to line the note pad up against the inside edge of the folder, which is now right of the center score line 
Embellish as desired
